Townsville Gem Show

Dates: 22nd – 23rd July 2023

Times: Saturday 9am – 4pm, Sunday 9am – 2pm

Location: 96 Mooney Street, Gulliver, QLD

Admission: Adults $4.00, Children under 12 Free

What You Will Find At The Festival:

The weekend show hosts a large display of gems and minerals with lapidary, silversmithing and wirewrapping displays and demonstrations and club competitions.

There are activities for all ages, displays, food and drinks stalls as well as Community Radio TTT are onsite.

There will be over 50 sites comprising of gem show trader market stalls, gem club member stalls and fun activities. Activities include a ‘Sandpit Fossicking’ for the kids and young at heart; ‘Gold Panning’ – learn to pan for gold, every bag is guaranteed to have gold in it; ‘Pearl Shucking’ – freshwater pearl guaranteed with every oyster; ‘Sapphire Fossicking’- purchase a bag of Sapphire dirt and wash it on site, learn how to pick out a rough sapphire.

Vendors also on site selling all things related to gems, minerals and jewellery making – find your favourite polished stones and crystals, beads, precious and semi-precious gemstones, even jewellery making and lapidary tools. For the serious Rockhound you can even purchase your own machinery.

Raffles and much, much, more!

We even have an ATM on-site.

Come and visit or be a part of the annual show and at the same time enjoy the magnificent Townsville winter weather.

WHAT IS A GEM SHOW/FESTIVAL?
A Gem Show/Festival is like a specialised Market dedicated to Gemstones, Mineral Specimens, Crystals, Fossils, Jewellery, Jewellery Making Tools/Supplies and Lapidary Equipment/Supplies where Gem and Jewellery Traders come together from all over this great country to share with you the treasures of the earths creations and to help support the local Lapidary Club (a Lapidary Club is where you go to learn how to cut and polish gemstones and create jewellery).

You will find lots of amazing treasures on display and available for sale at the show.
